Job description Purpose of the Job (brief summary) We are looking to hire an experienced factory manager to supervise factory workers and ensure that factory targets on daily basis. The factory manager’s responsibilities include scheduling building and equipment maintenance as needed, regularly walking the factory floor to monitor the performance of factory staff, and ensuring that all production orders are completed in a timely manner. You should also be able to enforce compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Factory managers oversee the workers and the machines and equipment they operate on the factory floor. They are responsible for contributing to and carrying out production strategy decisions. This job requires years of experience working on the factory floor and gaining technical experience with the machines and equipment. To be successful as a factory manager, you should demonstrate outstanding problem-solving skills and resolve any issues that may derail production. Ultimately, a top-performing factory manager should have exceptional communication, management, and leadership skills to ensure that factory operations run smoothly
Other: Roles and Responsibilities ? Lead the Team to achieve the production targets with optimum utilization of manpower and other resources (productivity). ? Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations. ? Screening, recruiting and training new factory workers. ? Collaborating with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes. ? Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order and preventive maintenance is followed religiously. ? Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues. Analyze production efficiency and develop methods to get the whole team to believe in improvement in processes. ? Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision-makers. Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards. Motivating factory workers to continually achieve factory targets. Use skill & technical expertise to ensure rated capacity utilization of machine so as to be costefficient. ? Interface with warehouse and stores for ensuring timely supplies without any short of stock. ? Should ensure that safety, quality & hygiene standards are maintained in the production center as per product specifications. ? Observe and identify minor changes which can have an adverse effect on factory operations. ? Achieve the specified quality standards consistently also develop processes to improve quality standards. ? Should be conversant with the statutory regulations applicable for the site and ensure strict compliance with the rules. Prepare weekly performance reports & monthly reports and share with the SCM team. Experience & Education: ? 5 years of experience as a factory manager in Material handling. ? Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment. ? Should have worked in manufacturing industries like automobiles, equipment, and tools, metal, heavy machinery. ? Graduate Degree. ? Experience as a Factory Manager or in a similar position. ? Deep knowledge of Production and Manufacturing Processes. ? Supervisory and management experience. ? Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel,internet,cctv camera. Excellent communication skills. ? Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills. ? Strong planning and organizational skills. ? Planning and organization skills to be able to run and monitor the production process. ? Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality. ?
