Job Responsibilities:
- Read the proofs against the manuscripts to find and correct mistakes; they should do a character-by-character reading to detect and highlight typographical errors
- Check typeset documents to ensure the publisher used the font style, size, and text spacing specified in the original copy of a page designer
- Check the spelling, equation, tables, figures, etc.
- Marking corrections on the proofs, which are standard and recognized in the printing and publishing industry.
Requirements
- Good communication and language skills
- Understand the customer’s requirement with various inputs
- Have vast knowledge in typography and typesetting rules
- Strong knowledge in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Exposure to styles and layouts
